Issued:18/06/2007Cornwall's fastest growing PR firm Black Cat Public Relations has continued to expand with the appointment of Stephen Gilbert as an Account Manager. The company, based in Truro, has scooped Stephen Gilbert from established local agency Deborah Clark Associates. The appointment follows a series of new client wins for the firm, including a national contract with the integrated public transport company Journey Solutions, Bude-based manufacturer Bott Ltd, The Electronic Waste Company, and most recently, a programme of consultation events for Camborne, Pool and Redruth Regeneration. The firm is led by Tim Bowcock, a former journalist who started his career at Pirate FM and BBC Radio Cornwall. Black Cat Public Relations offers a wide range of public relations activities including media relations, event management, public affairs, copywriting and media training. Tim said: ?Stephen?s a great addition to our team. He brings with him two years of experience of working across the region for some of Cornwall?s most prominent businesses and over 5 years of national public affairs work.? Black Cat aims to bring a level of professionalism and service to companies in the South West which have previously looked outside the region for public relations support. The company uses the latest industry-leading public relations tools and techniques to supplement its strong links with local, regional and national media and stakeholders. Stephen said: ?I?m delighted to be working with the team at Black Cat. Communications, including effective public relations, should now be a vital part of any organisation?s business plan and Black Cat?s hands-on approach offers modern solutions which will help drive success.? Black Cat?s work has led directly to increased sales for many South West businesses, including a five figure contract resulting from media coverage recently achieved for one client. Another client has been approached by retail outlets wishing to stock their products following news articles, while others have benefited from an overall increase in their profile.
