Expanding public relations firm Black Cat moves to Truro

Issued:18/06/2007

The expansion of a Cornish public relations company has led to its move into new premises in Truro.

Black Cat Public Relations has relocated to purpose-built offices on Heron Way in Newham, close to Truro Technology Park.

The expansion and office move coincides with the appointment of a new Account Executive to serve new and existing clients.

Black Cat has previously been based in Mitchell with clients from across Cornwall, the South West and the UK.

These include a national contract with the integrated public transport company Journey Solutions, Bude-based manufacturer Bott Ltd, The Electronic Waste Company, and most recently, a programme of consultation events for Camborne, Pool and Redruth Regeneration.

Black Cat has appointed Kara Hanko, a journalism graduate from University College Falmouth to work across a range of accounts.

Black Cat?s Managing Director, Tim Bowcock said: ?Black Cat?s client roster has been growing steadily since the company formed last year and new premises and staff will allow us to improve our service to clients still further. Our offices at Acorn House are bright and welcoming, and I was delighted to find such a talented and committed Account Executive locally. I know that Kara will be a great asset to the company.?

Black Cat began trading in October last year and offers a wide range of public relations activities including media relations, event management, public affairs, copywriting and media training.

Kara said: ?I am thrilled to be working for Black Cat and it?s very exciting as a new graduate to have the opportunity to work in the dynamic public relations industry. I have a great belief in Black Cat and its values and it will be great to bring my ideas to the table. Cornwall?s growing economy means there?s bright future for the company.?
