Truro Chamber Environmental SeminarIssued:31/01/2008Truro Chamber of Commerce is inviting Cornish businesses to find out how they can help the environment and save money at an evening networking event next week. The event?s keynote speaker will be Klaudia Van Gool from the ?BREW? project, which is run by the South West Regional Development Agency and delivered by Business Link. The BREW Partners include a number of environmental organisations such as Envision, Envirowise, WRAP, Carbon Trust, NISP and the Environment Agency (NetRegs). The event, which is open to Chamber members and non-members alike, takes place in the Truro City Council Chambers in Boscawen Street at 5.30pm for 6pm on February 12, 2008. Each organisation offers advice on environmental issues, support and assistance to businesses of all sizes who want to change the way they do things, and to have a positive impact on the environment and their profits. The BREW Project aims to put businesses from across the south west in touch with these organisations through awareness events and demonstrate to that changes need not be arduous or costly. Klaudia will show businesses how they may quickly be able to save money through a few small changes and introduce the various organisations who can offer free advice and assistance. There will be an informal networking opportunity before and after the talk and the event will also allow businesses to find out more about the benefits of Chamber membership.
