Workshop equipment manufactured by Bott is allowing the Hydrex Honda team to make last minute adjustments to their bikes? performance. This ability to make rapid changes to the gearbox , tyres or suspension settings can make a huge difference to the team?s ranking. At the Oulton Park event, just 0.7 seconds separated the top ten riders after the qualifying sessions. Hydrex Honda?s Chief Engineer Mick Shanley explained: ?Before we had the Bott equipment installed, we simply didn?t have time to make adjustments to the bikes? performance during practice and qualifying sessions. Quick and easy access to the parts needed in the workshops and at race meetings means changes can be made during the early part of a meeting saving those vital fractions of a second .? The workshop equipment, which comprises of shelving, cupboards, mobile storage unit, chairs and workbenches, was supplied to Hydrex Honda as part of Bott?s sponsorship of the team in the 2007 season. Mark Sinden, Bott?s Marketing and Sales Director said: ?Our storage solutions, including drawer cabinets and cupboards, workbenches and ?Perfo? boards are used for a range of purposes in garages, workshops and factories. Designed for efficiency to improve productivity; nowhere is that benefit felt more keenly than in the intensely pressured race environment.? Four rounds of the British Superbike Championships have been completed with a further nine rounds still to go. Hydrex Honda team riders are Karl ?Bomber? Harris and Guy Martin. Bott?s equipment is used to store a range of parts for their CBR1000RR Fireblades, including gearbox ratios, fork springs, shock springs and a range of tools.
