Dance in ‘The Vanity Girls’ debut music video
Following a whirlwind year resulting in an independent record deal and performances in front of thousands at venues all over the UK, Cornish girl band ‘The Vanity Girls’ are looking for extras and dancers for their debut music video. After launching at the Royal Cornwall Show in June, ‘The Vanity Girls’ have since made some high profile appearances around the UK and have even supported pop group McFly and the UK’s number one DJ Judge Jules. With the support of their creative team 'The Vanity Girls' are now firmly in demand with a packed schedule of Christmas light switch-ons, charity events, nightclub PA's and personal appearances booked over the next few months. In addition to their UK-wide City Tour which has already visited Bristol, London and Wales, ‘The Vanity Girls’ have also been performing at charity and community events across Cornwall too. With their large fan base growing daily and interest from international holiday destinations for bookings next summer, ‘The Vanity Girls’ have been in the studio laying down tracks for their forthcoming debut album which is set to be released in the Spring. The as yet unnamed album will feature the girls unique brand of hip-hop and r&b which is set to firmly place them as the UK’s first white hip-hop girl band. An extensive media campaign and sponsorship endorsements are already being lined up by the girls PR company in a bid to catapult them into the heart of the UK music industry. To launch the album ‘The Vanity Girls’ are shooting a music video alongside AMG Records and SketchWork Productions for ‘”Grimey Girl”, the debut single to be released from the album. The girls are looking for 200 extras/dancers to appear in a club setting for the main part of the video being shot in Newquay on Sunday 7th December. The storyline is shrouded in secrecy but the video looks set to be a hot track on the music channels when it is released. Lei Hilton, Creative Director of ‘The Vanity Girls’ said, “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for any dancers aged 16 and over to be in a professional MTV quality music video. A huge amount of money and resources is being poured into this so we have to make sure we have an end product which will cut it with the best when it premieres next year. You don’t have to be a trained dancer, just be hungry to be in front of the camera. The day will be incredibly hard work, but a great deal of fun is guaranteed!” The music video will also form the foundation of a schools campaign which ‘The Vanity Girls’ are launching in the New Year which will tour schools initially in the southwest, but around the rest of the UK in due course.
