Cornwall Boat Show floods Lemon QuayThe boat show with a Titanic themed tearoom had thousands of guests over the nine days. Boats on display and vendors selling marine related merchandise helped make it a successful experience for everyone involved. David Tandy of Follet Stock Solicitors and Chairman of Truro Chamber of Commerce said, It has been exciting and fun sponsoring the first ever Cornwall Boat Show in Truro. I am proud of the work put in to it by Nigel Parriss and everyone else; it has truly been a joint effort. I look forward to seeing next years Boat Show and to see it grow bigger and better. Many activities took place throughout the week, children were awarded prizes for their artistic talents of drawing the Titanic, a business networking meeting took place on Tuesday evening with a special reading of a poem about the Titanic written by a 17-year old girl in 1912. An auction was held on the last day with everything inside the tent being sold including the carpet. Nigel Parriss of Truros House of Fabric and a Trustee of the Truro Chamber of Commerce said, This proved very successful and just goes to show people that it can be done. I am happy we have had such a brilliant turnout and it was great meeting a wide mix of people. Everyone has done such a good job in helping me bring my dream to life and we were fortunante in being blessed with the weather. The Truro Boat Show was opened on Saturday 7 June by the mayor of Truro and ran until on Sunday the 15 June.
