Unique evening event to celebrate Truro Chamber Cornwall Boat Show

Truro Chamber of Commerce is inviting local businesses to a unique private event celebrating the launch of the Chamber’s inaugural Cornwall Boat Show.

The evening is being held next Tuesday (10 June), in the marquee which forms the centrepiece of the show on Truro’s Lemon Quay.

The show is the first of its kind in the county and includes a wide range of boats produced by Cornish manufacturers alongside other marine products and services.

It takes place from Saturday 7 June to Sunday 15 June between 10am and 8pm, and Tuesday’s event will give business people a chance to see the show at an exclusive private event and network with other businesses.

The event’s keynote speaker will be Toni Eyriey, a Director of the new business magazine “Marine Cornwall”, dedicated to the county’s maritime industries.

The new Chairman of Truro Chamber of Commerce, David Tandy of Follett Stock Solicitors commented: “This will be a superb and unique opportunity for an exclusive look at the Cornwall Boat Show and to learn more about this vibrant Cornish sector. This is just one of a series of events we run for Truro’s business community and we welcome non-members to this evening which will be superb with Toni speaking. She is terrific, don’t miss it.”

The evening starts at 6pm and buffet refreshments will be served. It takes place in the “Titanic Pavilion” which is at the centre of the show for the nine days.

The show has been organised by Chamber Trustee Nigel Parriss. He added: “This event has been months in the planning and I’m delighted there’s been such a positive response from marine business in the county. There’ll obviously be a lot of public interest during the daytime opening hours … this is a unique opportunity for business people to have an exclusive look at the show.”
